Are you eating yourself to an early grave?

Dr Steven Grover, Professor of Medication at McGill University explained The more a person weighs and younger their age, the higher the effect on the health, as they have many years ahead of them during which the increased health risks associated with obesity can negatively impact their lives. These clinically meaningful calculations should prove useful for obese individuals and health professionals to better appreciate the scale of the problem and the substantial benefits of a wholesome way of life including changes to diet and regular physical activity.Average maternal BMI was significantly higher among infants shipped by cesarean section weighed against vaginal delivery , and breastfeeding duration was shorter for infants delivered by cesarean section . After adjusting for maternal age group, education, race/ethnicity, child gender and age, pre-pregnancy BMI, and birthweight, the researchers discovered that 15.7 percent of children delivered by caesarean section were obese weighed against 7.5 percent of children born by vaginal delivery at 3 years old . Cesarean delivery was also associated with a 0.20 unit increment in age 3 BMI z-score and with a 0.94 mm increment in the sum of skinfolds. Each increment in maternal BMI was associated with an increased risk for the kid being overweight or obese , as was birthweight . Previous study has shown that children born by cesarean section possess higher amounts of Firmicutes bacterias, and lower numbers of Bacterioides bacteria in the gut, the team notes.
